One of my obsessions is Golden Goose Deluxe Brand. They were launched back in 2000 after bringing together the talents of Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. As time went on, they have evolved into a worldwide designer brand with retail locations all over the world, and it’s one that fashion fans can’t resist.
I’ve kept an eye on Golden Goose for some time and I would often check out the collection on FarFetch, as they always had an fantastic selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always thought they were quite expensive and looked too similar to Converse, so they were always on my mental wishlist. A few years earlier, Adam was the one who first got into the brand and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what inspired me to look into them more. Seeing his pair up close and noticing that no two pairs are alike because they’re artisanal, I was even more curious. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are intentionally aged and made to seem broken-in, they are all hand done so there’s no two pairs alike. Some have heavier wear than others, so each pair is unpredictable.
If you’re choosing in person, it might be a good idea to look at multiple pairs and choose from them, but if you’re ordering online, you have to trust the surprise!The pair of sneakers that I was first golden goose ball star obsessed with are the ones above in the main image, as they’ve been on the market forever, but I never ended up purchasing them.
I actually ended up getting the metallic version off Shopbop, and they’re a pair I have styled multiple times (see here and my Golden Goose review here). I really enjoy them!
